The team are growing and we are looking for a highly skilled and driven Mobile Application Developer

Working to an agile framework, you work alongside Senior Developers and Squad Leads to drive development of cutting edge mobile applications.

You will be instrumental in building and maintaining mobile applications and be responsible for programming, designing and conducting user tests.

The successful candidate will be expected to continually self-educate and keep their job knowledge up to date, keep abreast of emerging relevant technologies; participating in educational opportunities; maintaining and participating in professional networks.

All About You

  • Demonstrable software coding experience (link to GitHub, Bitbucket would be helpful)
  • Experience of developing and implementing unit tests for both existing and newly developed code bases
  • An understanding of web service protocols (REST, SOAP, API)
  • Experience of debugging their own code and writing clean code
  • Experience of working with version control (Subversion, GIT)
  • Good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to break down complex problems and communicate to their peers
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to produce high quality solutions
  • Strong problem solving skills and a desire to take on a challenge
  • Swift coding experience (Objective-C advantageous, but not essential) for iOS
  • Java coding experience for Android
  • Understanding of both TDD and BDD development techniques
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Mobile Application Developer who will work as part of a team to develop and implement software solutions, working with senior developers in their squads to build software solutions that support our technology road map.

They will work in an agile framework and support their scrum team in building software as dictated by their team’s product backlog.

All About The Role

The Developer will be given a great deal of autonomy and will be challenged with cutting edge projects that span all areas of mobile development.

Typical work for the Junior Mobile Developer will include building functionality, for new and existing apps from detailed specifications. Developers are supported by Project Managers, Solutions Architects, Business Analysts and a dedicated QA / Testing team.

With the support of the Senior Developers they will be expected to develop software solutions; settings expectations and priorities throughout the development life cycle; programming using agreed languages and products; designing and conducting tests.
