Job Overview 

Mercedes-Benz USA is recruting a Full Stack Developer to join our IT Department at our corpoate headquarters.  The Full Stack Developer will lead the development of new software in the area of connected and electric mobility with a strong focus on end-to-end charging solutions.

This position is responsible for a seamless user experience among various systems and platforms through integration with HQ, utilizing existing resources and participating in appropriate governance activities to ensure quality and adherence to MBUSA standards and guidelines.

Work on the set-up of the system landscape for new and innovative digital products. Instead of thinking from work step to work step, you act holistically in the manner of a system architect contributing to appropriate software design.

Development and support new (software based) business models in the area charging systems/charging infrastructure for e-vehicles. Integration of heterogeneous IT architectures and complex IT infrastructures and modern technologies (API, SOA, Web Services, Portals, CMS, Messaging & EAI, integration technology).

Contribute to the implementation of the CASE IT strategy with focus on customer impact, which means decisively contribute to digital transformation at Mercedes Benz USA.

Collaborate with NAFTA markets

Collaborate with business and IT partners

Collaboration through various working models and workshops to derive new revenue streams and maximizing the overall strategy.

Analyze and design sophisticated business solutions and implement projects in own responsibility

Through research and collaboration, devise areas of development for e-Mobility

Ensuring quality and that the right integration is taking place.

Leads and participates in appropriate governance activities to ensure custom code quality and adherence to MBUSA.

Ensures all projects are providing appropriate high-quality documentation.

Participates in regularly scheduled and appropriate status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view.


Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:

Business Management

Computer/Information Systems

Information Technology

Data Integration

Must have 5 + years (total) of experience in the following:

          Knowledge of frontend technologies, especially JavaScript and common frameworks for example Angular or React.js

          DevOps Mindset, as well as experience in working with continuous integration tools, build pipelines and test automation
          Experience in cloud technologies like Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS or Azure
          Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
          Knowledge of agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban
          Knowledge of building micro-services and implementation of OpenAPI
          Knowledge of server, network, and hosting environment
          Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
          Knowledge of how to interact with APIs and the external world
          Knowledge of user interface and user experience
          Knowledge of security concerns throughout the program

IT Skills

          Ability to incorporate new technology into current and future business applications

          Frontend technologies JavaScrip and common frameworks like Angular or React.js.

          DevOps Mindest as well as knowledge in the area of cloud technologies like Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS or Azure.

          SQL and NoSQL databases

          Knowledge of agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban


          Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

          Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability.

          Outstanding will to get things accomplished and show strong individual responsibility

          Eager to learn new things and further develop staying up to date with the latest technologies

          Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism and a cooperative attitude

          Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing management support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact and diplomacy
