Advidi is currently looking for an experienced  medior/senior Software Engineer to work within our Development team in Amsterdam.

The Advidi SOA is composed of multiple critical components which are handling large amounts of live traffic. It is the backbone of our business workflow. Thus, high availability, zero downtime and minimal response times are critical. The business has a lot of ambition across a wide range of facets, so there will be lots of variety as well as hard work.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of exciting new features for the company’s core software products and for extending and maintaining our SOA. We are looking for people who love clean code, work in a test-driven manner, like to work on projects that add value to business and enjoy working within an inspirational environment.

Development is done in Ruby using several cutting-edge technologies, open source products, and standards.



    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

    A real team player, willing to actively contribute to a good and productive team atmosphere

    Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; fluency in English is essential

    Strong drive to improve his/her own skills, with a love for engineering

Education and experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

    Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience

Specific technical skills

    Excellent programming skills in an OO language (preferably Ruby and/or Python)

    Strong experience with system architecture design and integration (backend)

    Strong experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (Mysql/PostgreSQL, Redis, etc)

    Version control (Git & Github), continuous integration (Travis), Monitoring (DataDog, NewRelic)

    Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS)

    Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

    Experience with Unix system administration, shell scripts

Bonus skills

    Big Data experience (BigQuery, DataFlow, DataLab)

    DevOps experience (Ansible, Kubernetes)

    Front-end experience
