Lead Front-End Engineer

We power boardroom conversations for many FTSE businesses by offering a platform that can be used to effectively write, manage and read the production of reports and papers.
Our unique customer base expects the best and it’s important that our product meets their high standards when it comes to quality and performance. Our product also needs to offer highly secure data segregation and storage to ensure the confidentially of the highly sensitive information contained in the reports.
This creates very complex technical challenges for our team of engineers to tackle, which has resulted in us hiring a team of high performers and allowing them to do their best work in a team of peers.
We now need someone to take ownership for the front-end of the platform, implementing and enforcing a best practice approach. Working closely with UX, you’ll ensure all designs are feasible then break them down into UI components. You’ll oversee the completion of these components, lending your expertise when required.
You’ll be writing high-performance, reusable code for UI components with React/Redux, TypeScript, and CSS pre-processors – either Less or Sass.
While it is still in its infancy, we’ve recently implemented Storybook so you will have a lot of influence over its future direction and you’ll act as the guardian of the component library.
As a Lead, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to mentor and lead the other engineers. Our existing team of Senior Engineers are keen to learn more about React and we are growing rapidly, and as we do you’ll be able to help us shape the future direction and structure.
